Vendors from The Market Company will be selling freshly made bread from Zak the Baker, local produce and cheeses, greens from the Little Haiti Community Garden honey, soaps and more. Stop by during your lunch break or after work and let us help you figure out what to cook for dinner. The Garden Market is part of the Garden's efforts to provide green living solutions for the community. Supporting local farmers and crafters keeps more money and jobs in the Miami area, and fresher, more nutritious food in our bellies! Green Book Club
The Green Book Club meets the second Wednesday of the month to discuss the previous month’s read. Come join the group for a conversation about The Seed Underground: A Growing Revolution to Save Food by Janisse Ray, winner of The American Horticultural Society Book Award. The New York Times has proclaimed Ray as The Rachel Carson of the South, and in this book she brings us inspiring stories of ordinary gardeners whose aim is to save time-honored, open pollinated varieties of seeds. Of the thousands of seed varieties available at the turn of the 20th century, 94% have been lost. She recounts the stories, heritage and history that pass between these people as seeds are passed from hand to hand.

Outdoor Film: Scrooge and Marly
Join the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival for a holiday party with appetizers and an open bar from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by a screening of holiday film Scrooge and Marly. This movie is a modern day gay variation on Charles Dicken’s classic story of the holidays, A Christmas Carol. On Christmas Eve, Ben Scrooge, a gay man who hates the holidays, is given the chance to begin again when he is visited by three gay spirits who help him make the journey back to love. Recounted from a gay sensibility with heart, comedy and music, the magic of Dickens’ timeless tale comes alive from a fresh perspective that will appeal to audiences of all persuasions. $12 entrance.
